
Melissa Curtiss began her career in oncology as a nurse on the Myelosuppression Unit at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis, treating leukemia and lymphoma patients after receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at the Baptist College of Health Sciences. While at Baptist, Melissa received the award for one of Baptist’s best nurses.
Despite working full time and being a full-time mother, Melissa received her Masters Degree in nursing from Union University in Germantown, and she became a certified family nurse practitioner.
She is a member of the Tennessee Nursing Society, Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Society, Nursing Honor Society and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
In addition to rounding at the hospital and seeing patients at the office, Melissa is in charge of Quality Assurance Program at The Jones Clinic administered through the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
